what the hell...?? wow. who knows this kind of stuff? i don't know this kind of stuff. this is ridiculous/incredible. i've never heard of far too many of these places. what's the Sakha Republic?

The Sakha Republic, as it turns out, is part of Siberia. I decided I really would like to live in Siberia for a little while, so I looked up cities in Siberia, and found that one of the most interesting geographical locations within the Siberian plain was, in fact, a separate country. So I hadn't heard of the Sakha Republic before I did the exercise either. :>)
I picked Yakutsk too! Although isn't it a semiautonomous part of Russia? Anyway, yeah, same logic here.
