From the United States to the world, baby. Please note, again, that this list includes only places that I have not, in fact, lived in for three or more consecutive months. Again, assuming food, shelter, clothing, some discretionary income, and in this case some rudimentary knowledge of at least one of the country's languages.

ReplyDeletewhat the hell...?? wow. who knows this kind of stuff? i don't know this kind of stuff. this is ridiculous/incredible. i've never heard of far too many of these places. what's the Sakha Republic?
ReplyDeleteLawrence
The Sakha Republic, as it turns out, is part of Siberia. I decided I really would like to live in Siberia for a little while, so I looked up cities in Siberia, and found that one of the most interesting geographical locations within the Siberian plain was, in fact, a separate country. So I hadn't heard of the Sakha Republic before I did the exercise either. :>)
ReplyDeleteI picked Yakutsk too! Although isn't it a semiautonomous part of Russia? Anyway, yeah, same logic here.
